colored pencil.
I received just lately a nice book on drawing birds in colored pencil and this is my version of one of the birds in that book.
I know I did this one a bit too low on the paper. but I still like it.
if anyone does colored pencil work and can help me figure out how to smooth out the background please drop me a note.

thanks for the tip. I'm starting another bird picture so will attempt something like that next go around. (that's if I receive the set of pencils on my Christmas wish list, I've asked for some prisma color)
Hubby and the kids had this framed professionally for me as my very first colored pencil art piece. So I'm not going to touch this one , just so I can judge my progress say in a year or two years time. Should be interesting to compare.
