progression picture everything was Paint.NET except the bear. I pre sketched the polar bear and then scanned to the computor. all shading and detail in the bear was done with paint.NET

the snow is the wasteland texture tut. tinted pale blue and surfaced blured, contrast and brightened. I think this gave a great snow texture

You can't really make out any texture in the snow at the current resolution, do you have a larger version?

you wont' make the texture out I blured it so it was real smooth the texture steps plus the color switch to just blue tint. provided the shadows i'd been struggling to get correct. saved me mega steps paint a few lines gas blur another layer gas blur switch color repeat repeat repeat above steps. could have done this with out the texture but it saved i'd say at least 20 to 30 layers. and I'm grateful.

Quite a lovely story, very very charming! Certainly a crowning moment for C.S. Lewis!

Nice :) I can certainly see what Ailive was saying about Narnia :) The edges of the bear look a bit rough, most noticeably just above it's eye. Aside from that it's a great, if small, picture. :)
:iconomagrandmother:
small because it started out as a practice piece for glass work , i just loved the look of it so kept going.

yes my masking skills although they are getting better are still not 100%. I've a few other things I'm going to try out on that practice picture so will fix up the eye area then. if I remember.

thanks for the comments.
