the touch ups are complete. to get the craigy skin tones I used both noise+ on several different layers at several different transparency's

then on the bottom skin layer I used photo film. and had to delete out the back ground

did anyone notice how I got the light to come from the front right hand side? any ideas how that was done people?

It's fantastic, the only problem I can see is that the guys name is Gordon Brown not George, unless you're deliberately mis / re-naming him so as not to tread on his toes....

Names aside, this is a really good piece of work :D

thanks I better go change that, no wonder I couldn't find him when I did a google search for a primeminister by the name of George. I think it looks a bit like him, hope he doesn't mind I used his picture, I think I made him actually look a few years younger. dipped him in a pot of Oil of Olay.

thanks for commenting Matt

and congrats to you on the many favourable comments you received on the 2007 PDN award show.

I'll take a guess on how you did the light: you made the right half of his face darker then the left, same goes for his hair. You also added a subtle glare on his forehead. Am I right? Did I miss anything?

yes you missed the trick. the shading was first step but to get better mind trick the shadow was placed in front of the figure not behind.
